CYD BEGINNER GUIDE • BUSINESS EMAIL
Enter Plesk through your CYD account, create a professional mailbox, and add it to the mail apps you already use.
Use the mailbox password: the password created for name@yourdomain.ca may be different from your CYD account password. Never send either password by email.
PART 01 • OPEN PLESK
You do not need to remember a separate control-panel address. Begin at CreateYourDream.ca and use the secure account path.

If it does not appear, check spam or junk, confirm the address, and request a new link.
This private link signs you into your CYD account.
ONE-TIME LINKIn your CYD account, locate the hosting service for the correct domain. Choose Manage Hosting to continue to Plesk.
Plesk control panel · Email accounts
Plesk opens in a new page. Choose Mail from the left navigation, then select Create Email Address.
If Mail is not shown, the feature may not be enabled for that service. Contact CYD support.
Enter the part before the at sign, select the correct domain, and create a unique strong password. Keep Mailbox enabled so the address can receive and store messages.
Choose OK or Create when the settings are complete.
After the mailbox appears, choose the mail-client setup or information icon beside it. Plesk displays the server names, ports, and security settings assigned to your mailbox.

Replace the examples with your real domain, email address, and mailbox password. These secure settings work with most modern mail apps when mail.yourdomain.ext is the hostname assigned to your domain.

PART 03 • CONNECT YOUR APPS
App labels vary by software version. If automatic setup fails, choose manual setup, Other, or IMAP and enter the secure profile above.
mail.yourdomain.ext for both servers. Some iOS versions show Mail directly in Settings or under Passwords & Accounts.
mail.yourdomain.ext for incoming mail.Menus differ between Classic Outlook and New Outlook. Look for Advanced setup or IMAP.
mail.yourdomain.ext for incoming and outgoing servers.FINAL CHECK
A successful sign-in does not prove that both incoming and outgoing mail are working. Complete this short test before relying on the mailbox.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Use these answers when an app asks for a setting you do not recognize or a connection test fails.
Send the app name, device, email address, and exact error message. Never send your password.
support@createyourdream.ca →Use the complete email address, such as name@yourdomain.ca, for both the incoming and outgoing username.
Use IMAP with port 993 and SSL/TLS. For outgoing mail, use SMTP with port 465 and SSL/TLS, or port 587 with STARTTLS when directed by Plesk. SMTP authentication must be enabled.
Use mail.yourdomain.ext for both servers when that hostname is shown for your CYD mailbox. If Plesk displays a different certified hostname, use the exact value shown in Mail Client Setup.
Choose IMAP for phones, computers, and multiple devices because messages and folders stay synchronized with the server. POP downloads mail differently and is not recommended for this guide.
Check that SMTP authentication is enabled, the outgoing username is the full email address, the mailbox password is correct, and the selected SMTP port and security type match Plesk.
Do not ignore a certificate warning. Confirm that the server name exactly matches the hostname shown by Plesk, then contact CYD support if the warning remains.
Open Mail in Plesk and choose the webmail icon beside the mailbox, or visit the webmail address enabled for the domain. Sign in with the full email address and mailbox password.
Update the saved password on every phone, computer, and mail app connected to that mailbox. Apps using the old password will stop sending or receiving.
This guide follows current Plesk Obsidian mail documentation.
